First time computer builder-barebones&questions

Hi. I am building a new computer for the first time. I was looking at this barebone kit and was wondering about the overall quality of it.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3536903&Sku=E145-2026%20F

I have read many things about how these kits usually come with a cheap power supply. I was wondering if this power supply would be sufficient.

I also had a question about what video card to get. I am confused about the SLI feature on the Nvidia cards. Can you work to video cards together that are the exact same card, or can you mix two different cards?

All help is greatly appreciated

1. Budget: How much money are you willing to spend on the new build? about $400-$450

2. Brands: Are there any brands of components you want or don't want? Intel

3. Multitasking: Will you be multitasking with this computer and if so, how much? some light multitasking

4. Gaming: Will you be gaming and if so, how much and how new are the games? yes, on the newest games, the graphics dont have to be the best of the best though

5. Calculations: Will you be doing any intense calculations or media encoding?no

6. Overclocking: Do you plan on overclocking and if so, how much?no

7. Storage: How much storage will you need and what will you be storing? around 200GB,just a few movies and music.

8. Legacy Support: Will you need support for older hardware like parallel, serial, or PS/2 devices?no

9. Operating System: Do you want Windows XP or Vista, or Linux compatibility?Vista

10. Case: Do you want help selecting a case and if so, how big do you want it?

11. Accessories: Do you want a keyboard, mouse, or other items included?no

12. Recycled Components: Will you be reusing any components you already have?no

13. Monitor: If you want a monitor, what size do you want and should it be widescreen?no

14. Stores: Do you have any online stores that you prefer to purchase from? tigerdirect or newegg is fine

15. Location: What country do you live in?
USA

Re: First time computer builder-barebones&questions

You will want to upgrade that power supply. As far as I know you
cannot mix and match video cards in sli. As far as price, I havent
assembled anything lately that uptodate, poor person over here,
mainly doing freebies..
