Help me upgrade please!

I am looking to do a little upgrading on my dell dimension 4700 series. It currently has Pentium 4 2.80ghz processor and 512 memory. I also stuck a radeon x1300 graphics card in it. The power supply is whatever came in it and so is the motherboard and stuff.

Could you guys let me know what I need to upgrade to get my computer rolling on some of the newer games out. And please keep in mind that I know virtually nothing about computers.

Thanks!

(sorry if this is posted in the wrong area)

Hi derus32 and Welcome to TSF.

First thing is you need to know is what Power Supply (PSU) you have and many much wattage it can output. This is one of the most important components that run your PC and are regularly forgotten when upgrading a PC.
I will also need your Motherboards name and model so i know what Processors it can support, as well as how much and what type of RAM is supports.

Does your Dell have a Service Tag sticker on it? We can use that to get exact specifications on your particular PC.
