Re: Maybe Upgrade?

you really need to purchase new computers for one big reason - security. Your computers/operating system cannot be secured and your clients information is very confidental.

Since you do bookkeeping you know that you can write off new computers as a business expense.

as far as upgrading the computers - forget it, the cost to upgrade could exceed the cost of replacing.

one thing though, my info is based on the operating system you are using not actual computers. You really need to post both computers specifications in order to give you specific info.

Re: Maybe Upgrade?

you really do not need anything fancy. Before purchasing anything you need to consider your operating system. Since you said you want to limit spending, check all of your printers, scanners and software and see if they are vista compatible. If not, get a computer with xp. 1 gig of ram should be plenty. Dont know any good places in your neck of the woods so someone here from there should be able to help further.
