Any suggestions to replace Radeon 9800xt?

Hello all,
Since I can't afford a new build atm, I 'm looking at possibly upgrading my current system. Right now I have AMD Athlon 64 3200, I'm upgrading to 2.5g of ram.The MB is a K8V deluxe. Currently I have a Radeon 9800xt. Is there anything out there that just blow my current video card away for $100.00 to $200.00 price range? Or would it be in my best interests to just keep what I have for the time being? I've always had ATI products for the most part. I wouldn't mind giving NVidia an chance. Thanks

The Radeon X1950XT is one of the fastest AGP cards. You'll see a big performance increase with this card. What PSU do you have?

Re: Any suggestions to replace Radeon 9800xt?

I'm running a Turbolink switching power supply. Model:420 ATX-12v (420W MAX)
It looks like I would need a 450W PSU and I'm only running a 420W, I'm not sure if the Voltage would conflict too or not. Not really familiar with PSUs

Re: Any suggestions to replace Radeon 9800xt?

When you're looking at the details for a new graphics card, ignore the part where it says "you need a xxxW PSU". This is only a guideline and can't be accurate without knowing what else you have in your computer.

For AGP cards, you need a PSU with at least 18 amps on the +12V line.

To see what kind of PSU you need for your system, enter your full specs (including the new card) into this power calculator and set Capacitor Aging to 20%. Click the Calculate button, then add 30% to the total to allow for PSU inefficiency. Post back with this figure.

Re: Any suggestions to replace Radeon 9800xt?

I just ran through that psu test and it said I only needed a 320w psu. So then I changed my cpu to core two duo and added more ram and it then said I needed a 230w psu?
