business names

Hi all
I'm trying to think of a business name that reflects what I do: support, sales of pc's and equip. I don't have a shop, I go onsite. Problem is, there's plenty of options for ordinary names, but I want something spiffy and memorable.

any ideas?

Business Names

This really boils down to your own perception of your business and services.

Many companies will provide you with naming options (Name/Business Branding) for a nominal fee. The most important facet of a business name/slogan is that it does the advertising on it's own. Keep it short and sweet.

Hope to hear back from you soon!

combine something with Speed and Tech and Fix or
if you like, use words like computer and mobile and onsite.

ITCOW? Sounds like a slow, lazy, grazing animal that spends its days eating, pooping and belching and only works once a day (if its a dairy cow) or once a life (if its a steak cow).

How about:

Guarantied Solutions?
Absolute Solutions?
The Computer Professionals?
Everything Computers?
YPS (Your Problem Solved) Computing

Oh and are you really still using Win ME? I see that and I'm out of here quick. Not because there's anything bad about ME (though there is) but because its obsolete. And I want my computer guy to be ahead of the industry not lagging well behind.

Yeah I still only have SP1 on this computer. Its a company machine (you didn't hear me say that) and the IT department still has not approved the installation of SP2 - go figure. I have SP2 on all of my machines at home.

Just don't do what I did.

Stay away from any derivation of your family name. It doesn't look professional, and it screams "one man operation!"

My employees are always assumed to be the owner when they are the only person in a store, and you even run into trouble with wholesalers, larger sales prospects, and relatives!

My dad is getting sick of computer questions on the street :)

I'm going to have to spend a ton of money on an advertising geared strictly to dispell the myths. All because of that stupid name. Only problem is changing it would cause me more grief because 90% of my new high-dollar business clients are referrals...

On my fliers I didn't even put a name. It says "Computer Problems?" Then I put in there how I am a Christian; that makes people feel good about me. Plus I call the guys in the phone book and drastically undercut them.

Only a suggestion of course.

Pick a central theme for your company and what it stands for. My company is about security, speed and evolution and in a roundabout way I came up with Sharks and more specifically Mako. A company I worked with specialised in server centric networks, so looked up a thesaurus on Hubs etc and came up with Mother.

If you can pick something different that you can justify people will be interested.
