Getting Business From Businesses
Hey again!
I have a quick question, one with probably a lot of different answers. I'm trying to pick up some accounts from businesses. I was wondering if you guys had any tips or pointers on picking up business accounts. I was also wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get a contract with the business for continued work? Also, I'm thinking of sending a letter out to local businesses letting them know of my services and would like any pointers on what to write or if you could provide me with a sample letter that would also be much appreciated. Thanks once again for any help that you guys will offer. God bless, Joe Last edited by slumbersix : 12-19-2005 at 04:45 PM. |

It takes alot of work, belive me.
I would called them all 1 by 1 or visit them. This way they cannot back out. Secondly, a business does not want to spend money, they want to try to save money, so you need to come from that approach. Having my service your servers etc etc will save you $x amount a year. With businesses you cannot really sell a contarct, you have to sell the need for that contract if you get what I mean. I find it quite a hard form of selling as I'm not use to it. Good luck.

You can also try reading your local newspapers and going through the classified section. Look for the Legal/DBA (Doing Business As) section. New businesses will be announced in that section. Use these notices to get names/addresses of new/startup businesses and try contacting them. They may not have settled on any one vendor so you may have better luck with them.
