family photo CD's useable by any?
I am looking for some info on making CD's for family who can view photos on a CD that I make while NOT having special programs to do so.
I have already made several, but may parents are just not into computers, and have trouble trying to locate pictures in regular files. I have also looked into photo programs, but I want something that could be viewed by everybody without the need to have a the program on their own computer. ( to save lots for future generations as well) Any ideas? - something rather "generic" for permanent use as storage, but still neat looking? Thanks . - I hope that made sense. I am not very computer savy myself, really. |

Use an "autorun.inf" file to open up a HTM file (created with word or any htm editor) in their browser. Have a list of links to pictures on the disk (convert to .JPG if not allready) It works great. They put the CD in, autorun starts the browser, and they can click on links to the pictures. I would like to take credit for this one, but I learned this from a Sony Mavica digital camera.
