Autorun Problem
Hi, I have recently tried to install Canon software for a Canon camera on my computer. As it autoran, and I clicked to install it, it came up with this message: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
So I've actually had this happen before with other software but I just gave up then. The CD does work on other computers. Maybe someone could help me out? -thank you for your time |

If you've still got your Windows XP CD, insert it and click the START button, then RUN... and type
expand D:\i386\autoexec.nt_ C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt (D:is your CD ROM drive letter) There's a more detailed solution for running older programs on WinXP at http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;324767 |
