Date / Time problem in PC
Hello !!!
I am having a intel 815e chipset motherboard, 256 MB ram, a celo 1.1 ghz CPU. running on windows XP professional SP2. I face a strange problem in my PC., with regards to Date/Time. i have to set the correct date and time every day. suppose i shut down my pc at 11.00 in the morning, and if i start the PC in the evening t 05.00. I see the time doesnt not change, it still shows me 11.00 a.m, same is the problem with the date, suppose if i shut the PC on say the date is 1 of feb, i shut my pc on 1 feb at 11.00 pm, and start it the next day, the date doesnt not advance, it still shows me the date and time, on which i shut the PC. I checked the battery on the motherboard also, it is fully charged, i tried a lot, but cant get over this problem I will be very grateful if someone could help me out. Bye !!!! thank u Last edited by dvdcrazy : 02-28-2005 at 10:26 PM. |

These are the classic symptoms of a bad MB battery, did you actually replace that one?

just because the battery seems to check out doesn't mean that it is ok enouph for the mobo. they cost less then $3 so it is best to replace it, and reset the bios. if time is still not ticking off, then the problem is worse and somewhere else.
