my pc in my office is in a LAN. i made my music folder a private folder so that i'm the only one who can access it. and then suddenly my OS (XP) disappeared from my pc or maybe a virus did it. so i again reformatted my pc and agian installed XP. last time i was the computer administrator and i am still now. the problem is now i can't access my MY MUSIC FOLDER...MY MUSIC FOLDER is in a different partition on my OS, the files are still in my hard disk but i can't access it all even on DOS MODE... tnx very much!!!

Follow these steps:
1) Right click on the MY MUSIC FOLDER 2) Properties 3) Click on the Security tab 4) Click on the advanced tab 5) Click on the owner tab 6) Click on your user name 7) Check the box "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" 8) Hit ok 9) A box will pop up asking you to confirm, press Yes. You should now be able to access this folder. |
