Drive Image Error

Drive Image 5 W98E, keep getting
" #2003 error. File size does not match FAT allocation table "
Say okay to error and it continues to make image. Can read image in DI Explorer, but of course do not know if it is correct or restoreable.
Searched every where for an explanation. Staggered error 2003 is not in Power Quests list.
Some near miss Google searchs suggested running scan disk several times but this does not stop error coming up.
Any one knows what it means.

Does SCANDISK find any errors? This sounds like a disk corruption issue.

Drive Image Error

John Will Thanks for your reply.Running scan disk on through and fast settings show no errors. Have NIS 2004 and it shows no viruses. Will do a defrag and see how that goes. Perhaps since HDD's are so cheap now will install a new one in case HDD corruption is there as you suggest. Just hope image is okay.
Thanks.

It's hard to know what's going on, though DI version 5 is pretty old. Have you tried any other imaging programs?

Drive image Error

johnwill. Dont have any other imaging software to try.
Got new HDD installed, restored image.
DI5 now works okay and the restored image, which DI5 gave error 2003 on seems to be okay, as I have been through my whole suite of programs and all data seems intact.
Many thanks for your help.
