Question help!!!

I burn some software onto a disk before a ran a recovery on my machine. Now the same cd burner that i used will not read anything from the disk. it basically says there is nothing there. yet on my older 98 machine will read the data on this and other disks that my xp machine did not read. whats up with that. some of my files are very expencive software that i need to reinstall on my xp machine. can someone help please.

OS: WinXP Pro SP2


This is going to seem trival,
But do you have WinXP? If you do, it should have installed the correct drivers for the Burner, but just to be safe, go to the manufacture's website and get the most recent driver.

No drivers are required for optical devices for XP, so I doubt that's the issue.
