what software do you use...

just wondering what software you all reccomend for users complaining about slow systems, i know ad-aware,spybot,cc cleaner, and avg,

just wondering if i should consider anything else. right now this is mainly to help friends and family and im not charging anything so free personal use license software should be ok right?

slow systems is a very vague term that many of us come across.... I would start by cleaning out the toolbars and any other programs that the user no longer uses..

Also, I see a lot of users making their system slow while trying to have good intentions... example, Norton Internet Security.... it will suck up at least 40% of the system's resource and even cause startup times to increase....

I do that too, and I generally get pretty good feedback. Another thing is I edited the bootup, things like MSN, AIM, YIM Etc all slow down a PC boot up. Often times customers don't reliease such a fix takes mere seconds.
