All,

I closed the poll because I didn't think it made sense as a poll. What I think revealer is asking for is recommendations on sources of information on networking and troubleshooting. So if any user has some trusty references that might be of use for someone wanting to get onto this field - please respond.

Also - Using the "Search" function on the header will "reveal" any number of threads on these subjects right here in TSF.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don't think any of us have any one or two Word docs that teach troubleshooting - we have thousands and thousands of docs, sites, notes....

This forum is a great place to aquire more knowlege. The best way is to simply read through threads, you can see what a problem began as and you can see what it took to resolve.

Volunteer to help others fix their computer problems. Hands-on is the best - and really the only - way to gain experience and competence. You will run into things you don't know how to fix. That's where searching forums such as this comes in. With the Internet, there is nothing IT related that you can't learn.

Hope this is of some help.
