Grin Question about buying some older version MS programs

Quote:
Hay folks, Not sure where to post this, but figure this might be the place, so if'en you can help, I sure would welcome the info.

Here's what I've got! I have an older labtop that still works to a degree, as long has it is plug up to the power plug and I lub the keyboard contacts everyone in a while. How-some-ever I seem to have lost my Win 98 operation system software and need to reload it because I tried to load MS XP on there and it just cannot handle it. So I need to find someone with some old 98 or Me solfware to get it clean up and running again for my use.

I want to use it to write my book ideas down(SIFI novel, been writing it for five years and about to finish, I have already been partition to write a screne play in parallel for it) while having coffee at the local coffee shops in town where I can found a power plug. Can't afford a new laptop.

I am also looking to get any old version of "Words" which has a writers script layout for writing a book( kind of like how you see a reporter typing out a report colum to go in the paper)

Question? Do you folks know where I can obtain such software or know anyone that wants to sell an older laptop that sill can run off batteries that I might get for a few dollar a months that still works well for my purpose. I need a good display on it and able to download to my present system which has MSXP.

I am all ears for ideas here. God Bless

Check out this website. They seem to sell older versions of the software you are looking for. You can get 98 SE for $30. Plus they have Office all the way back to 97.

My System

If you are going to buy MS Operating systems, older or not:

1 - Don't deal with any site that offers a download of the OS. It is not legit.

2 - Don't buy branded OEM packs - they are not for resale.

3 - Try to buy the full Retail Box. It is OK to uninstall and resell this version.

4 - If you do buy OEM, stick with a known-good vendor (NewEgg, for example).
