Cannot get game out of minimized mode

my son is trying to play a game called maplestory on my laptop and the game will start, but it goes right in to minimized mode and when you click on it the screen will appear for like a second and then go right back in to minimized mode. thing is just yesterday it was working fine, so there's no issue with the system not being able to handle it or anything like that. He's been playing it for about a week with no problems.

there are no other programs running.

Have a look in the system tray or press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click on the processes tab. Any programs running?

It sounds like something is definitely running in the background. You tried a spyware or virus scan?

Norton Internet Security can cause it too.

Hope it helps
