BfME crashes without giving an error
After installing patch 1.03 BfME started crashing after a random amount of time has passed. I already contacted EA techsupport about it. They told me (as always) to update my drivers and reinstall. Been there, done that, doesn't work. Installing new audio-drivers even gave me a pretty hard time, but I got it done.
Not installing 1.03 is not an option, since I need it to play online. I suspect the Creative Audigy-card to be the cause, but I don't know how I can find out what's wrong, let alone how to fix it. The Creative Diagnostics tool says all components are working properly. Help?

I see you have a VIA chipset, wich were flakey with crative cards and IRQ's and PCI latency back in the day of your chipset (KT266-266A-333). I would try another PCI slot. There are other things you can do like George Breese's latency patch for older VIA chipsets but i would try one thing at a time. I'm assuming you have actually run the direct-draw and 3d tests from within dxdiag and it was oK? It sounds like the driver is either not fully installed or you have a conflict in the PCI slot it resides in (with another device). Addditionllly i would try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver as well as another PCI slot. Back when i used a Soyo KT266A Dragon mobo i had to disable bank interleave and free up resources like disabling serial ports and things that i was not using in the bios to get my old audigy working ok. I also had to move it to PCI slot 4.

Moved it, but no effect. Don't have a clue what you mean by this though: (I know what it means literally, but don't have a clue how to do it or how to find out which is which)
