Fable problem.
Every time I try to play fable, an error screen pops up claiming that fable had not been exited properly the last time it was loaded. When I choose to continue running the game it promptley crashes. When it crashes window pops up claiming that fable.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. I have tried uninstalling fable and than reinstalling it but everything remains the same. I Have had fable running on this computer before, It actually ran very well and I guess it just wanted to quit working on me. If any of you have had the same problem or know what I could do to better my situation I would be thankfull for it.

alright I ran fable in compatibility mode for windows 2000 and it seems to be working fine. I still find it rather strange though.

Re: Fable problem.
I just found this thread after searching google for 'fable problem', anyway, I have played Fable before on our other computer and when I bought myself a new computer, which btw is more powerful then the other one, I copied the fable folder over and tried to run it on this new computer. However it came up with the exact same error message you just described. I also went and downloaded fable again cos i didnt have the cds anymore, so when i installed it properly it still came up with the same error message. I dont know how to run it in windows 2000 or if u need that OS installed but just wanna know if anyone knows how to fix this so i can play it.
Thanks. |

Re: Fable problem.
I was having those problems as well,
#1 right click on the fable icon and go to properties and then compatibility, there you can change to 2000. #2Also there is a WindowsBlinds compatibility issue with Fable, that was my problem. Can't remeber how to shut it off right now, but i'll bet money thats it
