All my games Crash
Hello.
I was wondering if anyone could help with a crashing problem I get with all of my games so far. Call of Duty 2 will either crash to desktop or crash the entire system. Brothers in Arms road to hill 30 crashes with a critical error displaying this message: Build: (null) OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2988 MHz [1548946243584.000000 0] with 2047MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX (8198) General protection fault! History: FD3DDeferredState::SetPixelShaderConstants <- FD3DRenderInterface::SetShaderConstants <- FD3DRenderInterface::DrawIndexedPrimitive <- USpriteEmitter::RenderParticles <- AEmitter::Render <- FDynamicActor::Render <- RenderLevel <- FLevelSceneNode::Render <- RenderLevel <- FLevelSceneNode::Render <- FPlayerSceneNode::Render <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- CMainLoop::RunLoop <- MainLoop Fable will just crash the system as does Star wars empire at war and Battle front 2. I have recently formatted the system to clear up any driver errors but I still crash, just running windows it is fine. Any ideas? |

Hi,
I am not sure what is going on here, but will give you a couple of thoughts that I have. So, here are my thoughts: General Protection Fault - Here is a link that can help you to analyze and possibly fix that problem: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000224.htm General Crashes during games (reason unknows or unspecified) > Possible heat issues - Monitor the temperatures at-rest and under-stress. If you don't have an onboard program for that, then here is a free download: Speedfan will tell you the temperatures and a whole lot more. It's free http://www.sofotex.com/SpeedFan-download_L4655.html > The second area is power supply output - Please list your power supply brand name and specs like watts, voltages per rail (on the side or back of power supply). Then, use speedfan also or an onboard program to tell us what the voltages are that are being reported. That is where I would start.
