Twisted hello team

im currently playing a game called enemy territory, online multi player game(free version). I also received as a gift a logitech usb headset (for solcom 3 ps2). Anyway when i asked in the game console for e.t., how i set this up, they gave me a link "skype.com". I dont believe i need to download software there because when i plugged my headset into my computer it recognized it anyway and automatically installed it.is this correct??? secondly, i think i need to download a program called team speak, i got this info from enemy territory info site
(http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php...requirements??) anyone know where i am????? i just want to beable to speak\hear other players. my headset is working properly as far as me hearing myself and i get the game volume also. But how do i speak to other players of this game???im a newby guys, well sorta, to the computer anyways..go easy please. thanks for your time..

Skype is VoIP software, it's nothing to do with setting up the headset. Basically, you get a screen name, and you can call anyone else on the Skype network over the internet for free. Some people use this during games, but I've found TeamSpeak is better suited to this job. Skype is well worth getting anyway, as if you get an account there, you can call anyone's phone in the world with the SkypeOut service, and it doesn't cost much, much less than an international call anyway.

TeamSpeak is similar, but works using private servers instead. You'll need to download the TeamSpeak Client, install it, then connect to a server. You'll need to get details of what server IP address, any passwords, etc, from the other guys on the game, as you'll need to be on the same server as them to hear/speak to them.

If you're wanting to play Socom 3 on the PS2 with the headset, I think you'd be best off hooking up the PS2's network adapter stright to the router and plugging the headset into the USB port on the PS2 itself. Although I'm not an expert on online PS2 playing (never bothered hooking up mine to the net, never saw the point), I think it should work better that way then routing it through the computer.
