cant install f.e.a.r.

i have tried several times to install this game to comp, sometimes it freezes my puter as soon as the cd stats to run other times i get to disc 3 any help would make me happy

amd 3800+ x2 64
2 6800 gt 256 cards
asus a8n32-ski deluxe
1 gig ram

Can you tell us a bit more about your rig such as the OS and the specifications of the PSU you've got in there?

os is windows xp and power supply is a 500 watt antec

i cant explain whats going on, everything for the operating system anti virus all disc's installed smothly, then i try to install a few games and they just wont install, some get to the 3rd dics and quit , next try they stall my computer was they start to read before i even get an install screen, help

Try installing thr game while in Safe Mode.

ok i finally got it in on the 7th attempt (had to get my g/f to do it)

now.................after a week of waiting to play this game i hit start............bamn........emulator detected* please deactivate virtual drive and emulation software!!!!!!!!

so i do some searching on the net to see what its babbling about cause i got no idea, i think its to make other consol games to work on pc............but the thing is this is a new puter, the only things installed on it are norton, windows xp and the software for the video cards and processor, anyone got a clue as to what i have to remove to play this game? thanks in advance...........james

Do u use Daemon \ or achohol 120%? Perhaps the previous person did?
that instaleld a previous virtual drive
