Weird Wings Over Vietnam problem
I've posted this on the Thirdwire tech support forum, but just thought I'd throw it out here in case anyone has seen it before
Hi, I installed WOV the other day. When I ran it multiplayer, I could only select guns. The mission was set up with guns and missiles, and the aircraft should have had missiles as well, but I only got guns. The other computer playing multiplayer was in an identical aircraft, but with full weapons. Hosting made no difference. To try and fix the problem, i attempted to uninstall and reinstall the game. I have used the uninstall option in the start menu group, I've manually deleted the directory and the ThirdWire registry key. There is still a WOV program listed in the add/remove programs list, but when I click change/remove, it appears to uninstall, but the entry does not disappear, even after a PC restart. Whenever I insert the WOV disk to reinstall, I get a "would you like to uninstall the selected components" message, and clicking OK makes no difference. I am unable to reinstall the game. I dont want to have to reinstall windows over this, so does anyone have any suggestions? Computer is XP2500+ 1g Ram radeon 9800pro gfx card Audigy II sound card Windows XP SP2 using Saitek X52 flightstick without a profile.
