dvd rom problem...quake 4

hi my dvd rom will not read my genuin copy of quake 4
all other disks are fine
i cannot explore it also
the light is just lit on the front but thats all
its hitachi dvd rom GD-7500
any ideas ?

return the copy for another. Maybe it's just a deffective disk. How old is your dvd rom?

Check for scratches, and clean it off with a soft cloth (like a t-shirt). Fog it up and wipe from center outward (NOT in a circular motion) and try again.

Otherwise, its most likely defective.

the game loads in the laptop.....so its not the disc....:/
