Glitchy words

this just started doing this so i dont know how it was caused, but when i play games, the text in the game seems to be glitchy, almost impossible to read, if i alt+tab then go back in it will fix itself, but the next window i open will cause it to happen again. ill put some screenshots to explain better from various games.

Fable: Lost Chapters

Halflife2 Mod: Garrys Mod

if anyone knows about this problem or has had it themselves please reply, thanks

haha i know your answer, by any chance do you have a 6600GT? if you do then i definitely know your answer, but if you don't then it will most likely work anyway. Reinstall some old drivers and it will sort your problem. Need more help? Just ask. Post back plz

Question

Well i installed old drivers and it did fix it, but i lose a big amount of performance. with the newer drivers the games actually run ok, but i have the horizontal lines.

Also i noticed with the new drivers i cant watch videos, it laggs my computer and i have to close the media player and use ctrl+alt+del to fix the lag, i noticed when i turn off hardware aceleration that i can watch videos.

this all happened after a format so i dont think its a hardware problem but eh what do i know. it just seems weird that i could run BF2 on medium and now i can only run it on low. ill list my specs and see if that helps any

also my friend had the same setup that i have yet he gets no lines and he can run Black and white 2 on high while i cant even run it on low

i thought you mite suffer that, the only thing i can think of is tryin to find some drivers slightly older than the newest, and see if you can get the best performance with no lines. Or if they have fixed it you could try downloadin the next set of new drivers from nvidia when they come out (not sure when that will be). post back
