MD5 error when installing BF2

Well, several months ago i went a bout BF2, the installation was a breeze, and i installed several patches up until 1.03 - which stuffed up my BF2, and i had to reinstall. As i was trying to reinstall, i kept getting MD5 errors. Thus, i checked the disk surfaces, and all seemed good. I was having other comp errors, so i reformatted (think i had a virus).

Reformat went well, so i pop in my BF2 disks and try to install... more MD5 errors. Thinking the disks were buggered i borrowed my mates and tryed installing BF2 with them... still getting MD5 errors.

I dont know alot about PCs, so thats about as far as I've gotten.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer any help.

Cheers

MD5 error BF2

Hi,

I encountered the same prob. I found out that my RAM is completly ruined (two much BF2 playing with high RAM settings) and this is the reason why this error occurs.

After having loaded another pair of RAM, the OS and BF2 now works fine.

Greetings from Germany - Cya on the Battlefield!
