Freespace 2 Demo

Does anyone know where the heck the self extractor puts all of the files?
Mine makes some weird zipping progress, then goes back to the launcher, then closes. Interplay is gone, so I don't know where to turn to

sounds like you got a curropt demo installer. that bite because freespace is such a fun game. i'm still trying to buy a full verion of fs2 on ebay. i just have a bundle version that came with a buddies joystick ( he likes the ms flight sim, and let me have the space game. yeha) but they keep going out of my price range!

but have you tryed looking in c:\windows\temp? of course this is making a big assumption that you are running windows. keep me posted, and i'll try to help.
