MW2 Vertex Shader Problem

Hey guys I've just bought MW2 and fullyinstalled it. But while launching the game I keep on getting the message that my Vertex Shader is only 2.0 while it needs to be 3.0. Everything else is fine and it is just that one little problem preventing me from playing.

My graphics cards is a Gigabyte 512MB RADEON X800 XL. Is there anyways for me to upgrade it to 3.0 without having to buy a new graphics card as I'm all out of money?

Hi.

I'm sorry to tell you that Vertex Shader is not something you can upgrade. Your graphics card does not meet the requirements to play the game, so you will need to get a new graphics card if you wish to play the game.

Unfortunately, the shader itself is built into the card.... I am sorry for the bad news.

However, i found a card that might fit your needs and it is 3.0 compliant :)

The link from bestbuy is an ATI X1600 Pro
that card is compared to a 7600 GS so it'll barely play MW2

I know for sure (because i run one at home) that a 9500 GT from Nvidia is plenty powerful. I just purchased one for my other gaming rig and, total with shipping, was 77$. Not bad for a 1GB card. Look up some deals on TigerDirect.

I did play MW2 on a 7300 SE with no problems (other than quality) just as a tidbit :D
