Help with gaming packets problem please
For the past month now, whenever I shoot any weapon on Call of Duty 4, there is a delay of about 1/2 - 3/4 second between when I fire a gun and when I hear the "click" of the shot hitting. It feels the same as it does when one plays on around 150 ping, which many will have noticed is both difficult and frustrating to play on.
Also, I'm starting to hear people on ventrillo and other voip programs that people are breaking up occasionally. However, the problem is my ping is fine, and recently, having turned off interleaving on my line, my ping has dropped even further to around 25ms on most UK servers. This sounds great news but the problem persisted, and didn't change one bit after a fall in ping times. Im rather stuck, because I've tried so many things to help fix the problem: (3 different routers, turned off interleaving, reinstalled OS + game around 4 times, updated PB alot, etc) and can't seem to find a fix. I did a ping test in cmd, as well as online and im getting 0% packet loss, and great upload and download speeds. My jitter is 1ms and I have called up my ISP and they say the line is fine. Any further tests I can run to see where the problem may lie? Note: On the lagometer on cod4 Im getting a load of red bars every few seconds, which indicates im getting packet loss, however when I do any packet loss tests im getting 100% packets going through. |
