Binding a Key to Mute Mic

Hey everyone this is my first post here, I need some help figuring out how to bind a key to mute or unmute my microphone in-game. I have to exit to windows to do it and that takes a long time. Help me please.

BTW I have an MSI GX620 and the Mic is build in.

Hi and welcome to TSF,
What program are you trying to bind the mic with?
Teamspeak? Ventrilo?

I don't think it's possible to bind a key to turn your mic on and off in Windows.

Re: Binding a Key to Mute Mic

You should make the microphone so you need to hold down a button so you can talk into it. When I play Left 4 Dead I have it set to the C button so when Ipress it only then does the microphone turn on.

You just need to set it to a bind key, that's all.

Re: Binding a Key to Mute Mic

What game(s) is this for, many games have whats called Cvars that do different things in the game, one can be to enable/disable mics from which you can toggle bind to a key.
