Weird line/pixel?
Hi there techsupportforum...
When I play a game or play a movie, I get some weird line that doesn't change the image at the right time, like a lag line. It only happens when the things are changing fast. It's kinda annoying for me, because I know it... It's not my screen, because when I connect my laptop to my TV I got exactly the same thing... I got the latest nVidia drivers for my 9600M GT (which are compatible with Windows 7) - (I'm running Windows 7) I'll try to make a screen shot, but I'm not sure if I can...

Re: Weird line/pixel?
It's a Acer 8930G-904G32BN
And the temps: http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/1980/43218593.jpg That's in-game, but it's not overheating or something, it's just 1 little line, and it doesn't underclock (I checked the speeds of the GPU & CPU) Thx (I have a little question about the core temps... Is it normal that the core #0 and #1 are only 20°C while #3 and #2 are 45 - 48?)

Re: Weird line/pixel?
Yes the higher temps are the cores the game is using.
Although this is more to do with the m8xxx series many of the m9xxx chips have the same issues> http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvi...-gpu,7795.html |

Re: Weird line/pixel?
Try to force the Vsync to ON in the Nvidia Control panel and see if that helps

Re: Weird line/pixel?
Forced V-sync to 'on', still the same issue... But the V-Sync is for 3D-applications, is my Cyberlink PowerDVD a 3D-application?
Thx

Re: Weird line/pixel?
what is your Monitor? and what is your refresh rate? see if you can increase the refresh rate a bit
I don't know if what you are encountering is screen tearing, but movies shouldn't do that cause they run at 25 frame/s

Re: Weird line/pixel?
My monitor is just the built in one (a 18.4" full hd screen, and it's refresh rate is 60 Hz) and it's set on 60Hz, but I don't think it's the screen, because when I connect to my TV, I get the same problem...
Mcninjaguy, I posted my temps after gaming a while & the issue is also there when I have low temps... And it's an nVidia card ;) Thx

Re: Weird line/pixel?
Ok thank you, and yes your video card is pretty hot at 84C in game it should try to stay in the 70C range at max. I would suggest you get a Laptop cooler.
