Tf2 FPS help

I have an ASUS computer CG5270
8 Gigs of Ram
Vista SP 1
I got the video card that it comes with GT220 graphics card,
Here are the full specs-http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/asus-essentio-cg5270-bp003/4507-3118_7-33699688.html?tag=mncol;psum

well it works fine for wc3, and cs 1.6 and COD modern warfare

but for TF2, I get fine FPS in the spawn room but when i go out into battle, my fps stays at around 30-70 fps. I did everything that was in the optimising thread but its still at around 30-70 fps.

Please help, THanks

Re: Tf2 FPS help

30 to 70 FPS is fine. Anything below 30 FPS and gameplay won't be smooth and most LCD monitors can't support above 60 FPS anyways. You're fine and I expect that you have no lag.

Nice laptop by the way. Must of cost you around $2300 or so. I don't know why you didn't go with a $1000 desktop that could've out preformed that laptop though.

Re: Tf2 FPS help

the GT 220 is made to fit in the center between 9500 GT and 9600 GT
30 to 70 fps is amazing in TF2 you don't need more
you'll notice that if you decrease the resolution a bit you'll get higher FPS but trust you don't need that

Re: Tf2 FPS help

That frame rate is fine, have you noticed it stuttering and thats why you are asking? If it is stuttering a little do what Rockmaster said, reduce the res and maybe a few other settings. I'm not sure if the gt 220 can run that game in full whack.

Re: Tf2 FPS help

Well, the framerate is still fine. I'd say you can mark this thread as solved.
