Hi everybody.........I have been unable to get any help from anyone in the Sims community about this problem and calling Microsoft of EA is clearly a huge waste of time,so you guys are my last hope.
I just purchased a computer with Windows 7 on it.I am a Sims junkie so I decided to put the Sims 2 on it right away, thinking it would run like a champ on my new cool system.Nope.As soon as I installed the original game I got an error message telling me that the Sims 2 is incompatible with Windows 7.Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?I have read many posts on other forums from people who are running the Sims 2 with no problems on Windows 7.So why am I having a problem?I have no idea. Here is what I have to work with: Windows System 7 ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card with 512 MB of onboard memory 8G of system memory This should really be enough, right?I can't send a DXDIAG report because I do not currently have the internet on my new computer(don't ask,I will just start weeping with frustration)On a side note, does anyone know if I can run the Sims 3 on this? |

Re: Sims 2 and Windows System 7?Sims 3 maybe?
I haven't tried that yet.............if I do,will I have to install all the expansions and packs the same way?
I am curious how these people who have 7 are able to run the game at all..............I love 7 but it is frustrating the hell out of me when some games(old ones) work great and other ones don't. |
