World of Warcraft installer wont run

Im trying to get WoW to run on my computer. When i download the installer from the website (Either trial or full client) I wont run. The trial installer just wont run, and the full installer gets to the "select product" screen, then freezes, hopelessly. I am on an administrator account (The ONLY admin account), with a 2.2 Ghz AMD 64 Athlon X2 processor and an ATI Radeon HD 3850 GPU, Running WinXP.

Have you tried running the installers in Safe mode?
It might make them work,

Why are you running an outdated service pack? Install SP3 regardless of this issue.

I think you should have Service pack 3 too. SOme games like GTA 4 need service pack 3 to play it.
