Problem with Sims 2 Double Deluxe game

I bought Sims 2 Double Deluxe at a half price book store, came home installed it and everything was working fine.. until i went to create my own family and the game completely froze..I have tried several times on seperate occasions to see if it would load. It did not.

Seeing that I did buy a used game, I thought it might be that. So (being addicted to the game) I bought it brand new online and downloaded it. Same thing, was running great until I went to create a family..

Please help!
Thanks.

Hello.

You haven't posted your PSU information. Since you have a Dell, could you please post the model number.

Also, try this:
Uninstall the game with RevoUninstaller, restart your computer, then re-install.

Oh, and welcome to TSF.

Re: Problem with Sims 2 Double Deluxe game

Can you tell us what the wattage of the PSU is? The 100 240v is what voltage i can accept from sockets. I think in North America the voltage from a electrical socket is 120v and in Europe it 240v.

See below for website on voltages. This is not what we need though I thought I would just give you some facts.
World electricity facts.

What we need is amperage's on the 12v line and its wattage.

Re: Problem with Sims 2 Double Deluxe game

The wattage is 65.

Is that all you need?
I'm really sorry. I'm extremely illiterate when it comes to all this stuff.

That can't be right. Could you take a really close up picture of the PSU's label?

It looks like this.
