Realtek-Ventrilo-Mic sound cut out issue
Hello, several days ago i also posted a similar issue with audio randomly cutting off from ventrillo as well as my whole computer.
However, i just noticed it only happens on one specific scenario. My sound is completely gone after aprox 3minutes if i'm connected to a ventrillo server with a mic connected. I'm running windows vista 32bit. My soundcard is a realtek HD onboard. I used several mic's in both front and back jacket, with the same results. I completely uninstalled my old drivers and installed the latest drivers. Same results, didnt fix it. Checked firewall settings from zone-alarm, disabled it, didnt fix it. I disabled UAC, didnt fix it. My sound is completely fine without getting cut out when ventrilo is running without a mic connected, when i connect a mic the whole sound gets cut out after 3minutes. I used 3 mic's for this, all 3 gave the same results. I hope someone can help me on this, thanks. |

Re: Realtek-Ventrilo-Mic sound cut out issue
To me this almost sounds like some faulty connections causing a short somehow.
Please open Device Manager (can be found in Administrative Tools, within Control Panel) and find anything with a question mark or an exclamation mark, double click on that device and tell us the name of the device and what is the reported problem.

Re: Realtek-Ventrilo-Mic sound cut out issue
Thanks for your reply but there are no questions marks in there. Iīm beginning to think its ventrilo software related because if i have a mic connected without ventrilo running it goes fine, when i connect to vent the 3minute sound with a cut out after begins.

Re: Realtek-Ventrilo-Mic sound cut out issue
I dont really know much about Ventrillo software but a have a question.
Does the software support full duplex or only half duplex? If full it will be able to send and receive at the same time and HD will only allow to do one at a time. Perhaps there is a setting in the software to control that option. |
