Half life 2 work run fully!!!

i bought half life 2 about 4 months ago and im still having no luck

the game starts fine and runs well untill you press new game it loads
and when Gman is talking it says my display driver has stopped responding but has successfully recoverd.

message: display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered

both episodes run fine so does portal and TF2

anything i can do to prevent this???!!!?!?!

i ran a system check thing to make sure
and it all was fine but it still errors on me

Hi chezes23. This sounds like a problem with your graphics card drivers. You should get the latest ones from here:

If you are using an Nvidia Card, go here.

If you are using an ATI Card, go here.

Make sure you uninstall all of the old drivers, then re-install the new ones.

Go to resplendence.com and d/l the free whocrashed program. It will identify if it is a driver problem.
