CoD WaW CD not recognized

Hi,

I have had a legal copy of Call Of Duty: World at War for nearly a year, but for a while now the CD has not worked. When I put the disk in the drive it auto runs, briging up the splash screen with options of playing SP, MP, installing etc, but when I then click play SP I get the error: Disk not found, please insert the proper CD and try again. Re-installs don't help and until now I've been getting around it with no-cd cracks, but I shouldnt have to with a shop bought copy and it's getting annoying to wait for the cracks to come out after each patch. Hoping this isn't a case of the disk being ruined and needing a new one.

Thanks for any help in advance.

We are not allowed to help with cracks so I strongly recommend you remove them ASAP. Is your disk scratched?

We cannot help with you with cd-cracks, however if you have a legally owned cd I believe we may be able to help with that.

Re: CoD WaW CD not recognized

Im not asking for help with cracks, Im sorry I mentioned them. Im asking for help with how to legally get my legitimately owned copy of the game to work WITHOUT resorting to them. The disk does not appear overly scratched and will bring up an auto-run menu and all files on the disk can be accessed through the drive folder in 'my computer', my problem is that when I try to run the game application either through the auto-run menu or programme icon, it claims not to recognize the disk

Re: CoD WaW CD not recognized

you can try the DVD on another PC, to see if the problem is from your DVD Drive

Re: CoD WaW CD not recognized

Try what RockmasteR said. Reason I said that before, so it would be clear that pirating isn't allowed on here. So you wouldn't ask "couldn't I just use the crack". Anyways..enough of that. There really isn't much we can do if the cd is damage. If it does work on another computer you will probably just need a new dvd-r. You can try emailing the company and see if they have free replacements for cd's or cheap ones.
