Empire Total War: Loading Screen

Was hoping someone could help me wit this:

When i go to run the game i get to the first loading screen, its the very first screen you see after clicking the icon, once there, it never leaves. It continues to stay at the same screen. I had recently installed CoD4 and thought maybe it had screwed up a file in ETW. I uninstalled both and reinstalled ETW. The same problem occured. I have been playin ETW for several months without a single problem until now. What do i do! HELP!

Are either of your games downloaded?

How long did you wait at that screen? I know it can take an extremely long time on that screen, especially if it is the first time running the game after installing.
I had to wait upwards of 10 minutes for it to load.
