Half-Life/Counter-Strike 1.6 Sound

Hi, I have a problem that some random music such as Linkin' Park's "Wake" and "Leave out all the Rest" comes out whenever there is a loading sequence.

It was cool at first when it happened at Counter-Strike's loading sequence, but it became redundant and annoying in Half-Life single-player. That problem came out since I bought and downloaded the Linkin' Park's album Minutes to Midnight onto my computer. What is the deal and how can I fix it?

Where did you buy the album from? Was it an official online retail store like Itunes.
And when you mean "comes out", do you mean when the game loads the music starts to play all of a sudden.

I've bought it in a retail store and yes, that is what exactly happened, whenever the game loads, some random music from the album played.

Re: Half-Life/Counter-Strike 1.6 Sound

Have you even been on a custom CS1.6 server that plays music?
Make sure there is no music in the Sounds folder in CS1.6 and any other steam game.
"Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\User_Name\Half-Life 2\hl2\sounds" .There might be a music folder in there. Adding custom sounds can override the original sounds in the game.

I've been a custom server that plays music. I've checked the sound folders and I couldn't find anything related to Linkin' Park. It was the original Half-Life actually, not Half-Life 2.

There maybe some custom binds that you picked up from the server. In CS go to your keyboard options and press the default button. This will reset all custom keys.
There is a way to play songs during the loading stages of CS. Its an auto bind that looks at the console for commands like "connect" then it sets an Alias to open a certain file. This could be the reason.
