[SOLVED] Mirrors edge run on this pc?

Well I was looking into getting mirror's edge for pc but my system is seriously weak and I thought to my self yea right this pos can right it, but then I was surprised to see other systems with around my specs to be running it with very good fps's. So I just wanted your guys opinion. Heres my specs....

Intel Celeron 430 CPU @ 1.80 Ghz (It can be overclocked to 3.0 Ghz but my bios is some kind of lenovo bios and it doesnt have an option to overclock in the bios. I tryed flashing to different versions to no avail)

1014 MB Ram

GeForce 8400 GS 256mb ( I know this is a crappy card but still it should play Mirror's Edge on low. Right?)

Thats my specs and here on some videos with mirror's edge running on somewhat similar systems.

1st: YouTube - Mirror's Edge on a low-end system [Athlon 2600+, Radeon X1650 ]

2nd: YouTube - Mirror's Edge Gameplay Highest Settings on low end computer

Any advice is Needed and Appreciated!
Thanks!!!

PS. Sorry for wall of text O_O

Re: Mirrors edge run on this pc?

Ugh, gaming on a Celeron is horrible. I can tell you that from experience.

Re: Mirrors edge run on this pc?

Yea I know.. but you think I would be able to get like 15-30 fps on on low settings? If they guy got all high settings with a 1.8 amd I should be able to get atleast a bit of the same preformace with an intel 1.8. Right?

Re: Mirrors edge run on this pc?

An AMD running at 1.8Ghz will pound a Celeron at the same speed rating. Realistically an Athlon XP 1.8 is about equal to a Pentium IV running at 2.2Ghz.

If you can tell us more about your PC we can suggest some upgrades or other tricks to make it run better and faster.

Re: Mirrors edge run on this pc?

your CPU is very weak in two ways, first of all it's a Celeron (you know what I mean) and even if it's a dual core Celeron, but still not meant for games
and you video card is a very low end card, so you will have some issues running the game, and trust me, you don't won't to play Mirror's edge with 15 to 30 fps
you need at least 30, this game uses lots of motion so you have to get a an always acceptable fps so at least 30

Re: Mirrors edge run on this pc?

I agree with RockmasteR. Even if you do manage to get it running at ~20FPS, not only will it look terrible, but it will be very difficult to play.
I can tell you from experience that it is a very fast paced game, most of the time you have less than a second to decide which way to turn or when to time a jump.

That's not something you want to be doing with choppy framerates.

Re: Mirrors edge run on this pc?

Please save your money for a new computer. I have to agree with Ebackus, Tiber and RockmasteR, you PC isn't good enough. A decent dual core and combined with a couple gigabytes of RAM, a nice power supply unit and finally a decent graphics card is needed to play this game at decent frame rates. If you get even a tiny bit of lag for this game you will fall and die or mess up the speed trials. This game is like Formula F1 racing with your feet.

Re: [SOLVED] Mirrors edge run on this pc?

Hello redoshi,

Yes the edit is on a time limit. I think it is 20 minutes. If you add the dxdiag could you upload the file as we need to know the whole specifications for your computer. I'm sorry to hear you can't play the newer games. Good luck on finding a job!

This what I would upload for the dxdiag.
