First, sorry for my bad english.
Secondly I didnt know where else to put this. So my problem appears when I play new pc games such as Left 4 dead, prototype, dead space, red alert 3 and some other less good looking games. When I start to play the game might crash in some point randomly, maeby 20 mins or maeby 2 hours. Computer just shuts down instantly and doesnt do anything else, no reboot, no bluescreen, no ewen 1 second jamming before it, it just shuts down pc. I dont understand what the problem is because it cant be overheating and not a overclocking problem. I have 750w power, 3ghz amd phenom black edition (with v8 cooler master), zotac geforce gtx 260(with Arctic Cooling gtx 280 cooler), 3 fans in case and case opened from side, temperatures when gaming are 42-45 c at gpu and 45-49 with cpu. 4 gigs of ddr2 ram (1066 but I use it at 800[bios reconmends it on auto] because it might cause bluescreen when I use it at 1066), I have runned memtest and have lastest drivers to graphic card, bios has been updated to lastest one from msi homepage( msi k9n2 platinum). Seriously I just dont understand why it keeps doing this, it doesnt do it ewer when I use computer normally even when I dont boot my pc for week or two. Modelling with 3ds max 09, zbrush and mudbox dont do any problems even with 50 000 000 polygons and neather does rendering. Using windows xp with sp 2. So I would be really gratefull if you could help me with this. Thank you.

Re: Computers instant crash problem when playing games.
What brand is your PSU? To power the gtx 260 you need a very good PSU.

Re: Computers instant crash problem when playing games.
Well if you are talking about driver issues etc. in that I must say that I have installed ewery single driver needed for games. Dx 9 (tried dx 10 hax aswell), computer has been cleaned from virukses many times and reinstalled aswell couple of times. ( I have myself build up this pc with 1000€ and this is the first time I get this problem and even my ex classmates cant help me with this (3 years of data communications and electronics).
And neather does my classmates now from audiovisual game makers. And once again I have tried multiple drivers for everything I have on pc so it cant be that. If you meaned I could have posted this to wrong section, where this belongs then? |

Re: Computers instant crash problem when playing games.
Hello Foldeath,
Yes your PSU is junk you should be running this PSU. It has no specs for any of the site I've seen. Most likely I would probably compare it to a Corsair 400w PSU based on that that it provides no product info which is always the case when I can't find specs on a PSU. Corsair 750w £91.98 |

Re: Computers instant crash problem when playing games.
Thank you, I have been thinking that it could be it. What do you think could I use the psu if I drob the clocks to minimum with gpu and cpu untill I get the new one, could that help with the shutting down?

Re: Computers instant crash problem when playing games.
Ok, as Mcninjaguy said, your PSU is bad.
The one he recommended is good quality and much better than your current one.
