COD5 Crash to Desktop.

Whenever i load COD5 solo or MP game, it starts loading then black screens for a second then crashes back to desktop. I've found a fix for this but it's vista fix and i'm on windows xp/media edition.
Its something about changing my sound or something to 8000hz 24bit?
Hoe do i do this on xp/media?

Cheers

Hello daviescene,
try this:
Control Panel -> sounds and Audio devices, under Speaker settings choose Advanced -> Performance
set the hardware acceleration to BASIC (move the slider two times to the left)
press ok
now try the game
also can you please post your full PC specs?
don't forget do update the game to the latest patch
and also update your video card drivers

Re: COD5 Crash to Desktop.

Is this a legit copy?
Tell us your video card and RAM. You can do this by going into dxdiag, go to the start menu > run and type dxdiag, go to the Display tab for the videocard, the main page for the RAM.

You're video card isn't powerful enough to run the game.

Re: COD5 Crash to Desktop.

As 5NIPER WOLF said, your graphics card is too low end to play it.

WoW, COD4 etc. probably work because they are less graphically demanding games.

Do you have a laptop or a desktop?
