Do you mean, when you insert the game disc "sw empire at war gold pack", that your computer does not read it?

well when i put it in nothin happens so i go to my computer click on the drive and it says "please instert a disk into drive D:"

Does the disc have any heavy duty scratches?

i bought it at target ...no it doesnt have ant scratches it looks pretty new ....so yeah ?

Are you sure that your D: Drive is your CD/DVD ROM reader?
Most D: Drives are partitions.

Try the E: drive

When you insert the CD, your drive image should turn into the CD image.

yeah it is my cd/dvd rom drive ..i dont think i have a e drive .....oh when i put it in the computer sounds like it took a breathe or exhaled for like a quick second so jus thought i let u knw i dnt knw lots bout puters

Do other discs work properly and are read by your CD drive?

the CD drive on your computer now works with other discs?

and

the Game disc works on other computers?

Correct?

If this is the case, try rebooting your computer, and insert the disc after the computer boots up.

Alright, on your game disk, it should say what kind of ROM read it is, for example DVD-ROM or CD-ROM, or CD/DVD-ROM

Whats it say?

Also what are your system specs, and your operating system.

it says pc-dvd rom........i dnt knw wut specs r(sorry) but it is an widows xp

for windows XP

Click Start>Control Panel>System>Click on the Hardware Tab>Click Device Manager

Look for CD/DVD DRIVE, click the + to expand the box.
Tell me what your CD/DVD Drive is exactly please.

Alright, problem solved.

It seems that you only have a CD-ROM reader.
You need to purchase a CD/DVD-ROM reader.
You can buy one at www.newegg.com or at your local computer store or electronics store.

The game disc is a DVD-ROM
but you only have a CD-ROM reader.
