GTA SA problem

Hi, I was looking around the internet and I finally found a download for GTA SA, it has everything it's meant to have, (at least I think it does) but when I double click the game, it does nothing for a second then comes up with a "not responding" message!

my computer is windows XP but I'm not sure what other info you need, please try to help me! (I downloaded the game because my parents wouldn't let me buy it because I'm saving up for an electric guitar x]
