Re: 3D games crashing
The games crash and then you can play after the initial crash report?

Re: All 3D games crashing
No, the game closes and the error report appears.
In case of Assissin's creed windows error report occurs and in the case of coh the game itself tries to send a bug report. @Aus Karlos And yes i have tried all the steps mentioned in the link. |

Re: All 3D games crashing
You don't meet the recommended CPU requirements for Assassin's creed. - You barely meet the minimum CPU requirements and only just meet the Minimum Graphics Card requirements.
Also you only just meet the minimum requirements for RAM. The minimum requirements section for games is really, really, the minimum, without the recommended requirements you can expect bugs/crashes etc.

Re: All 3D games crashing
I just mentioned I have been playing these for the past 2 weeks, and this problem started yesterday.
Aside from assassins creed i do meet the requirement for the other games but even those crash after a minute. I would like to make it clear that COH reaches the loading stage but then crashes giving a bug report. |

Re: All 3D games crashing
Crashing can be irregular and totally random.
You can try updating to SP 3. http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Re: All 3D games crashing
It would be time to get a desktop for gaming. You can get a desktop for $600 that will perform better than a $1200 laptop.

Re: All 3D games crashing
i might try going for sp3 .
I just got hold of hospital tycoon and amazingly it's working fine, although other games have the same problem. Might be because of it's low requirements?? |

Re: All 3D games crashing
Yes Hospital Tycoon has really low requirements. Your laptop isn't fast and the worst part about most laptops is their graphics is never even close to what you can get with a desktop.

Re: All 3D games crashing
i went for win xp sp2, but it was of no use, (I have installed all the drivers).
Furthermore i installed civilization 4 i am able to play it for 20 minutes before it crashes , while assassins creed crashes at the start and COH crashes after 2 minutes. Any new ideas would be of great help.. |

Re: All 3D games crashing
Download Service Pack 3. - It does make a big difference, SP2 had a lot of compatibility issues when it came out - and probably still does.
Use the link I provided above.
