Warcraft 3: TFT freezes computer. Forced to Hard Reset.

Problem:

While playing Warcraft 3: TFT while on battle.net, during gameplay it would randomly freeze and I would be forced to hard reset. Sometimes after the hard reset, my computer wouldn't be responsive and make a high pitched beep that would go on and off. I usually just leave it alone for about 5 mintues and I would be able to regularly start it up

Most people say it's because of overheating but when I play games like Team Fortress 2, World of Warcraft, or more intensive games, my computer seems to work perfectly fine. Even for long hours, while WC3 usually only lasts about 1 and a half hours before freezing.

Tried Solutions ( None Worked ):

-Checking insides and cleaning them due to overheating
-Run as administrator
-Change swap ( virtual partition ) file size
-Reinstalling

OS: Vista 32

Please help!

Re: Warcraft 3: TFT freezes computer. Forced to Hard Reset.

I doubt it is a heating problem. - If it were then you should be getting freezing in all games, not just Warcraft.

Could you post the make and wattage of your PSU and then,

Download Everest from here:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

and SensorsView from here:

http://www.stvsoft.com/SensorsViewPro21Setup.exe

Use them to check your temperatures when you first start up and then after you have played for about 30 minutes.

Also check your PSU voltages and post them here with your temperatures.

Re: Warcraft 3: TFT freezes computer. Forced to Hard Reset.

Sorry for the double post but trying to get it back to active

Sensor Properties
Sensor Type National LM79 (ISA 290h)

Voltage Values
CPU Core 3.38 V
Aux 3.33 V
+3.3 V 3.07 V
Debug Info F FF FF FF
Debug Info T 255 00 00
Debug Info V D3 D0 C0 FF FF FF FF (FF)

not entirely sure what that means but those are the voltage values.

Not sure how to check temperature with everest

Re: Warcraft 3: TFT freezes computer. Forced to Hard Reset.

You should be running this

Corsair 650w (same price as the Corsair 550w)
$100
after rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

You need to replace soon before your PSU takes out your whole computer.
