World of Warcraft and Ventrilo.
I'm not sure if this is the right forum....but....it seemed like the best option for my problem.
So, anyway, I recently got a new computer...Its a Gateway GM5661E...with a Geforce 6600 video card...Anyway...My issue is that Ventrilo will not work correctly. I've been using the program for quite some time, and all of a sudden, it will not work for me. I am using windows vista Home premium...I have tried running Vent as administrator, Wow as admin, vent AND wow as admin, and every other combination I could think of to get it to work right....My mic is a Cyber acoustics wrap around headset....Anyway, I've tried playing with all the settings I can think about, and at ONE POINT, when I had vent as my active window, I was able to be heard, but I was "robotic" ... Any thoughts? Ideas? |

Re: World of Warcraft and Ventrilo.
Hi, I'd just like to clarify something, did the problem begin when you got the new computer and Vista? Or was it occuring before then?
If the problem only started since you got Vista, make sure your UAC is off before attempting to use the programs, see if that helps.

Re: World of Warcraft and Ventrilo.
Ok, UAC is User Account Control. To turn it off, click:
Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> *your account* -> Turn User Account Control on or off, and untick the box. Then click OK.
