Does this mean I can't play the sims 3?

Ok.. I'm a very big fan of the sims, so when sims 3 came out I really wanted it. So, to find out if my computer (which is new by the way) could run it. I went to www.systemrequirementslab.com to get the information. Apparently, I fall short of the processer speed. I have an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33 Ghz. Everything else is fine, exept for that. The minimum is pentium4 2.4Ghz. So, I'm 0.07 off... and it failed me because of this >: (. I can't get over this, and I think the website is ********. I have a QUAD processor! Anyway, could somebody tell me if I can play it or not, because I don't know if I should trust that site.

Hello and welcome to TSF.

Systemrequirementslab is glitchy with dual/tri/quad core processors, it ONLY checks for processor frequency.

Your computer will run the game perfectly.

a Quad Core will run 2 Sims games at the same time

It's 1.8Ghz for a C2D/Q

Your video card is more imporrtant. Can you list your all of your computer's specs?

RAM
CPU
Motherboard
Video Card
Power Supply

Systemrequirementslab is a mess
I pass the recommended settings at SRL do you know why?
because I have a Geforce 9400 GT, and in SRL calculations 9400 is higher than 8800 GTS (in numbers of course)
but in Game-O-Meter I just pass the Minimum requirements

I stopped using Systemrquirementslabs a while back becasue of exactly what RockmasteR said.

It only measures shader models and not actual performance. I actaully tell people off from using it and I say they should use Yougamers.com instead.
