video card or driver problem

I've installed Quantum of Solace game by Activision on my laptop. When I go to play it I get this message: "Error during initialization: video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data." Where can I get a video card or driver that will support UBYTE4N vertex data?

Re: video card or driver problem

You might need to download the latest driver of your video card. Tell us the video card you're using so that we can check if it supports the game you're trying to play.

Re: video card or driver problem

Hi njguy168,

The "UBYTE4N vertex data" indicates that your card does not support Vertex Shading. Its a hardware feature of the card that can not be supported by downloading software or updating your drivers to the latest version. The only way to get the shader support is to upgrade your laptop with a card that does have the feature.
Upgrading laptops can be difficult and may just simply can not be upgraded. You will need to contact your Laptop manufacture and ask whether the laptop can be upgraded to support a dedicated graphics card.
