Re: dvd games help

Hi and welcome to TSF.
Your dvd-r does not read dvd disks? That could be a problem, might not detect your game. I'm pretty sure games use similar or the same disks to dvd-rs. You may want to consider buying a new dvd-r.

Re: dvd games help

a DVD is a DVD whatever it is
if your Drive does not read DVD movies at all, it'll not read other DVDs
the best thing to do as Zealex said, to buy a new DVD Drive, it's not expensive

Re: dvd games help

So it picks up the fact that there is a disk there, but cant read it (when it is a movie)?

Do you have Movie-playing software like Power-DVD?

Re: dvd games help

Any DVD drive back from 2005 should be able to play any kind dual layer DVD or game from then on.

You might just want to buy a new DVD drive like what RockmasteR said.

LG22x DVD/CD Burner Sata
$26

Re: dvd games help

If you open My Computer, can you open the disk (Right click on the drive and select "open") and look at all the files?

If so, then your ROM is fine and you should be able to play games.
